Our Classes are organized and structured
We provide quality dance instruction with our comprehensive syllabus that is very easy to follow, while still maintaining both technical detail and a high fun factor in all of our classes.

Deniz Karakulak
Salsa Instructor | Bachata Instructor | Cha Cha Instructor
 
Deniz started dancing and singing performance in elementary school at the age of 7. She has a natural affinity for music and dance. She started American Ballroom Dance training at the Arthur Murray School of Dance in 2007 where she became a full-time dance instructor, choreographer, mean while, travelling to and performing with Los Salsomanos Dance Company. Her specialties are Fox Trot, Waltz, American Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Salsa, Rock & Roll and Hustle. Deniz is devoting herself exclusively to teaching and performing and share her passion.
 
Miriam Kusa
Salsa Instructor | Bachata Instructor
 
Miriam (Mary) was introduced to salsa 8 years ago and ever since has travelled the Middle East, Europe and North America to teach, perform and to learn from international instructors, picking up different styles and making it her own. Her style and passion mainly lies in NY/Cuban Salsa, Bachata, and Casino De Rueda. Outside of the dancing world she lives for adventure and exploration. Mary began working with The Bachata Club when she was given the opportunity to put together a choreography for the 1st student Bachata performance group.
 
Lucy Ibarra
Dominican Bachata Instructor | Merengue Instructor
 
Lucy Ibarra started training and danging classical ballet, contemporary, jazz and modern at the age of 14. Performing in stages in Mexico and USA. After arriving to Canada (2007), she started focusing in latin dancing "salsa , merengue & Bachata" teaching, performing and/or choreographing for diferent schools : Salsa for singles, UofT Bachata inter/advance class, UofT bachata performance group, P.O.S.E, Afrolusophone, OLAS Ryerson and teaching at Dovercourthouse on Bachata Thursdays. She also performs with the Dance Theatre Company Ismailova Theatre of Dance and Double Double performing arts.
 
Stella Chan
Salsa Instructor | Cha Cha Instructor
 
Stella's appreciation for music started with playing classical piano from an early age. Moving to Toronto to pursue a new job gave Stella the opportunity to discover her passion for Latin dance. She was immediately drawn to the rhythms of Latin music at a local club and decided to seek proper training. Stella began salsa training in 2006, and went on to become an assistant instructor in 2007 where she had the privileges of helping students and sharing her passions with others. Shortly after learning to dance salsa On1, Stella found a new love for Salsa On2 by attending different classes, workshops and student performance team in various local dance schools. In 2009, she was invited to join a professional dance team and had performed at charitable events, private function and congresses. Stella continued to advance her technique/styling through various training and looking forward to pass on her knowledge.
   
Dang Lambert

Dang has been dancing, performing and choreographing salsa and bachata routines for over 6 years. He has performed with many of Toronto's finest Latin dance schools. Dang has taken salsa classes, workshops, private lessons and training from some of the best Latin instructors around the world. Dang consistently takes professional dance classes in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Washington and Los Angeles. Outside of dancing, Dang enjoys volleyball, softball, swimming, scuba diving and playing poker.
 
Mark Curtis
Salsa Instructor | Cha Cha Instructor
 
Mark began his love for salsa dance over 6 years ago. Joining numerous Latin dance schools through-out Toronto. While learning and building his own personal style of dance, he went on to become a performer and instructor with some of these schools. Having traveled to different North American cities to perform at open dance events and private functions, Mark was able to grow and learn from taking personal and group lessons with some very well known dancers from around the world. Being an energetic and dedicated dance instructor, Mark has learned and taught Salsa On1 and On2, ChaCha, Bachata and Merengue in a fun and inspirational environment.

What is a Class Helper?

Class helpers provide support services to the class, instructors and school. Support services including class promotion, student registration, demonstrating dance moves, filling in as a dance partner and answering student questions during class.

All support will be located at the school dance studio for the period of the course. Additional responsibilities may include promoting/supporting the school events and activities. This is a four (4) month position.

Minimum Qualifications

We want to ensure that new students are properly asssisted by knowledgeable and friendly class helpers. Our minimum requirements for student helpers are:

- All student helpers must have completed the course they are helping in.
- All student helpers must have a minimum of 1 year dancing experience.

Essential Responsiblities

Responsible for attending all classes and providing dance support to all students.

Meet personality requirements and dance knowledge reviews by the instructors.

Must be a team player with a friendly personality and a desire to help others learn.

Provide direct service to students in the classroom at least once per week.
Attend all workshops and practice session with the dance school.

Things to Remember for Class
Bring Proper Shoes
If you have dance shoes wear them. Otherwise bring shoes that allow you to slide easily. Avoid wearing running shoes to dance class.
Wear Loose Clothing
Wear anything you feel comfortable in that allows you to move freely. Athletic wear, jeans, capris, yoga pants are good options for clases.
Bring a Water Bottle
You want to make sure you stay hydrated at all times. Classes can be tiring and intense. Bring a towel to keep yourself dry and feeling fresh.
Arrive to Class on Time
Important class materials are taught at the beginning of the class. Arrive early to class so that you can properly warmup and stretch.
